PADI Open Water Course - Taking the plunge

The PADI Open Water certification gives you a qualification that is recognised worldwide. It allows you to dive (with a buddy) to a depth of 18 meters and experience the underwater world anywhere your travels may take you.

How?

There are three stages to your training completed over four days.

Day one

You start off with some dive theory in our large, air conditioned classroom. This gives you an insight into what to expect while diving including dive equipment and dive safety.

Day two

It's time to get wet! We jump in the swimming pool to get our first taste of breathing underwater. We spend a good part of the day developing the skills we need in a safe and controlled environment before we get in the ocean

Day three and four

What it's all about. Both days start with two dives in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. We practice the skills we learnt in the swimming pool and then it's off to explore this new underwater world. On day four you will be presented with your PADI Open Water Certification..........let the celebrations begin!

We pride ourselves in making sure you have the best experience possible by giving you a personal service to become a competent diver.

When?

Courses start Mondays and Thursdays and can be completed full or part time

Cost of the course

Four boat dives in the Solitary Islands Marine Park - $445.00

Includes: Crew Pack (book, dive table, logbook and certificate), equipment hire, certification, lots of fun and, of course, rides on our ex Special Forces boat, Water Rat!

Additional requirements

Note

If you are suffering or have suffered from asthma, epilepsy, high blood pressure or diabetes then you may not be fit to dive. Please contact us for further information.

A dive medical is now not mandatory although it is recommended.
A medical can be arranged with our doctor for $60.00
